PechaKucha Night İstanbul series won’t take a break in 2012, either. This year’s first event, PechaKucha Night İstanbul Vol. 13 will take place at the Building Information Center (YEM), on February 23. Week of February 20-26 will also be celebrated as Global Cities Week all over the world. This is the third year in a row a global PechaKucha event has been organized. During the week, all participating cites will be designing special events where all the presentations focusing on the city. Istanbul’s title for this special week will be “Curating İstanbul.”
Being pointed out as one of the most inspiring cities of the world for creative industries, Istanbul is ready to host many spectacular events in 2012. But how Istanbul would stand out from the crowd of all these creative cities? On February 23, eight curators planning or organizing outstanding events in 2012 will be on PechaKucha Night Istanbul Vol. 13 stage to share their Istanbul visions.
